It all started with a vision
Thrifting as I typically do I stumbled upon this beautiful light pink and beaded blazer, and I knew instantly I had to create a concept with it.
I reached out to one of my model connections Julia, let her know what I was thinking and she was in! We played around with styling, I knew I wanted white floral tights with the pink blazer and some heels with a vintage fan. Julia Brough a few top options and we decided to go with a white ruffle feel to go with the look. My goal was a soft feminine feel, with an editorial style.
We picked a location and decided to go to the "Arb" in the trails near the Ann Arbor peony garden, and stopped at some flower bushes on the way to add some texture and color. The "Arb" is an open grassy field, perfect for the contrast we were hoping for. During our session we had so much fun, lots of laughs and of course great shots too.
During our session we focused on editorial poses, mixed with lots of creativity. I was also inspired by the vintage feel to photos, so I gave the final edits a glossy feel, making them seem "old", and "editorial".
The sun was out from the clouds creating the most beautiful sunlight in the Arb. I picked up some pink peonies before the session to complement the blazer.
